It is with great excitement that we announce a new preschool is opening on St Simons Island beginning fall 2018!
Conveniently located directly next to St Simons Elementary, the First Baptist Preschool will have a warm Christian atmosphere with appropriate levels of early academic education and plenty of active play in our indoor & outdoor playgrounds plus full sized gym! With a focus on quality, the school will maintain small classroom size and low student/teacher ratio – all with a comparable (or even lower!) tuition to other, larger schools.
An Open House is schedule for Sunday, March 4 @ 4-6PM.
Public registration for August opens Saturday, March 17 @ 9AM (in person).

Infants (6 weeks-11 months): $860/month
Toddlers (12 months by Sep 1): $680/month
Early Preschool (24 months by Sep 1): $600/month

What hours will the preschool operate?
The preschool will be open from 7am- 6pm, Monday- Friday. We will follow the Glynn County School calendar from August- May. We will have a summer option available, which will be held four weeks in June and four weeks in July.
Will the school follow a specific curriculum?
Yes- teachers will utilize the Creative Curriculum, a Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning approved curriculum that supports the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards. This curriculum provides children with developmentally appropriate learning activities that encourage physical, cognitive, social, emotional and language development.
If a child is enrolled at the school during the school year, do they have to also attend during the summer?
No- children do not have to attend during both the school year and the summer. Registration for the school year and the summer sessions will occur independently. Children may attend both sessions but will need to register for each session separately.
What will be the teacher to child ratios?
It is the goal of our preschool to provide children with the best quality care and attention. In keeping the teacher/ child ratios low, we believe we will be better able to serve the children in our care.
What are the security features at the preschool?
The safety of the children at First Baptist Preschool is our top concern. The doors of the preschool are locked during school hours with parents and staff obtaining access through a fingerprint scan. The classrooms, playground and indoor play space are also equipped with security cameras.
Will there be a part time option?
Due to the small size of the school, which we feel will provide children with the best, personalized care possible, all enrollment at the school will be on a full time basis.
When can parents tour the school?
An open house will be held on March 4th from 4-6pm. Parents unable to attend open house on this day are welcome to email our Minister to Children & Families, Rev. Rebekah White (Rebekah@fbcssi.org) and schedule a private tour any time after March 4th.
