F irst Baptist Church Saint Simons is a truly special congregation. I always feel this way but Sunday was further evidence of this point. The youth and children shared their experiences of their mission trip and their kids’ camp trip in worship. It takes a lot of courage for them to stand up before a congregation and speak but they felt the love and support of everyone in the room. Following the 8:30 service senior adult and beloved member, Billie Gomez, shared how much she enjoyed the worship service. It is beautiful to see how our older members are so supportive of the smallest of members.

I was also so very proud of Lexi Alberson for walking down Sunday and making a profession of faith in Christ and expressing her desire to get baptized. It has been an honor to pray with her and to watch her grow in her faith. It feels like just yesterday when she was beginning kindergarten and being presented with a Bible on promotion Sunday.
