Preschool Director

Rachel Assaf joined the First Baptist Preschool team as Director in June 2022. She is originally from Ontario, Canada, but calls St. Simons home, where her family lives- parents, two sisters, and two nieces Nora (4) and Romi (1). She is happy to be moving back after teaching preschool the past two years in Savannah, GA. Rachel loves Jesus, being Aunt Ray, and mom to her bunny Cinnamon (Cinny). She is a rule follower, but loves to have fun!

Education

Rachel has an assorted background including Early Education, Nursing, and Business, with over 14 years of working with children- including 7 years of Early Education- in all rooms from newborn-4K, along with being a nanny, tutor, and ministry volunteer. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from The College of Coastal Georgia.
